There's no way around this looking like a paid commercial. Oh well. They won.
They know that retro is the rage. Vintage is WHERE IT'S AT!
Way back when, their genious was in being the "UN-Cola". And now, it's in riding the retro wave that has been such a success for those other guys.
But today it's the inspiration for my vintage picnic!
July is when I feature my 50's print cherry tablecloth, and other cherry themed vintage linens. Red, for a red hot month.
A vintage wicker picnic hamper and ice bucket stow it all away, and a spiffy vintage map tray rounds it all out.
I like keeping this picnic gear in the camper trailer. Besides getting away from town for a couple of days, we do a little time travel too!
I hope your SUMMER FUN has just begun!

Ciao! for now!

ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Can you share your source for the white and red towels?
ReplyDeleteDear Elizabeth: All my various red stripe towels are thrift store and flea market finds from quite some time ago. They have become so popular I haven't found any for awhile.

ReplyDeletePerfect for summer!
ReplyDeleteI love your cherry tablecloth and napkins ... but I'm seriously wanting your United States tray!!!!! Where on earth did you find that? I'm such a map fanatic, it really tickled me to see such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteIt's red hot here, too, in Virginia, in the 100s this week. I try to stay in the a/c but last night the power went out due to a car accident down the road a bit. We kept the doors shut and fortunately were able to stay cool until the power came back 5 hours later.
Thanks for sharing the beauty,
Hugs,
Mary
LOVED this post! Your cherry linens are fantastic, and so is that map tray. Can you pleeeease share where you go the 7up bottles? Do all grocery stores have them? I just have to have some!
ReplyDeleteHappy REDnesday,
Carol
Dear Mary: I got this tray about eight years ago in a little antiques shop at Lake Tahoe. I love map motifs, we had just acquired a little vintage Shasta trailer, and I was on vacation. Sometimes I'll indulge a little more on a memorable souvenir. At the time, I didn't even know to ask for a better price. I paid a "Tahoe" price for it I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteDear Carol: Two weeks ago--the day I posted on it--I encountered the seven up bottles on a rack at WALGREENS! I asked if there was possibly a carton somewhere cuz I thot it would be cute, but there wasn't. I bought three for my shoot.
Thanks for asking kids!!
I'm Loving those Cherry napkins! Too Cute!
