Farmhouse Blues

We got a nice shower this afternoon that couldn't have lasted fifteen minutes, but it was enough to cool off the day.

My farmhouse blues keep the mood cool too. A blue enamel basin sits on an old soft flour sack tablesquare with more blue in the vintage print.

It's easy to imagine a time when a farmer might come in after a hot day and splash cool water on his face from a cool blue bowl. Now it just makes things cool and pretty.

The weekend passed so quickly, but I fit in an hour or two of browsing shops, and found this bit of hand sewn lace.

A perfect end to another lovely week of summer.

I hope you have a cheery summer week planned ahead!
Ciao! for now!

Jacqueline

  10. I really like the combination of the pink flowers with the blues and white pitcher. I love white enamel ware, have a collection of EW coffee pots above the cabinets in my kitchen.
Visiting you from House in the Roses but have been here many times and love your blog.
