I get that impulse for this vintage rose runner at least a couple of times a year and go looking for it. It's the sort of item that stands on its own. In fact, it really only blends well for me with a white background. It's as though it wants all the limelight. So once in a while I let it have its own way. . . .
So that's what's on my table top this Tuesday.
I hope your week is starting out sweet!

Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely! I agree that this little beauty does quite well all onits own...or against the white, but have you paired it with that beautiful pink rose tea cup? I think they would compliment each other quite well! Thank you for sharing one of your many treasures! I did, so enjoy this post!
Fondly,
Pat
It is a lovely piece and I can see why you keep going back for it. The photographs are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! What could be prettier than pink roses? I love the bench your runner is displayed on too. Really great photos! :)
ReplyDeleteThe cloth goes so well with the little pink bench. It is so charming.
ReplyDeleteJacqueline: Makes me think of a piece of salt-water taffy. I don't know why except for the color, but that's what I thought of the minute I saw it.I grew up by the beach and there was a great candy store on the boardwalk. That white wax paper wrapped around a soft piece of pink..So pretty..Happy Monday..Judy

You have such beautiful pieces. Funny I was just thinking almost the same thing the other day. I picked up a really pretty dainty white pitcher with little roses on it. I made myself put it down because I packed all of my rose pieces away, but I am thinking about it more now that I saw your post, I may just go back and pick it up for myself as a mother's day gift to me.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love it! Yes, it does look good with white!
ReplyDeleteI think i just died and went to heaven looking at those photos, and that runner... oh my god, it is one of the best things i've seen anywhere. I have no idea why it appeals to me so much, but it just does.. and the way you photographed it is just amazing!
