I take my cues from Mother Nature and let my seasons unfold. I suppose it's my own cautious nature that usually has me inching into cold water, for instance, instead of diving right in.
Except for Christmas, I don't keep seasonal decorations per se. I don't have room for storage, and I rather like using what Nature has to offer up in the way of ornamentation. She's pretty hard to out do.
I do have dishes and linens that customarily come out certain times of the year, though. They're stored with everything else, just pulled out from the back of the cupboard or bottom of the drawer. Another sort of natural rotation.
A lot of my vintage things have seen a lifetime of use before I met up with them. Using them just a few times a year actually both refreshes them, and prolongs their life.
The postcards are from "POSTA VERDURA", by Helen Buttfield. She did a whole series of various nature drawings in sets of insects, animals, flowers, and vegetation and such about ten years ago. I don't think they are available anymore. I use them all over the place.
So I guess I'm kind of into it. The fall thing, that is. I got a rush of pleasure from my small gatherings, remembering the delights a new season has to offer. . . .
The casserole dish is by Vietri. It's like butter!
Ciao! for now!

Very pretty, Jacqueline! I love how you used fruit in the vignettes. I like to dip my toes in the water before I jump in, so decorating for the seasons goes rather slowly. Thanks for the lovely inspiration!

I don't have storage for seasonal decorations, either. So, except for Christmas, my seasonal decorations are subtle and usually natural.
