September and October are referred to as the shoulder season in the travel industry. They're the months just outside of the summer vacation frenzy, and before the holidays start up. Rates are great, so it's a good time to book a trip. But it's also a great time to be back home!
September is perfect patio weather in New Mexico. The days have cooled off and the nights are still warm. It's wonderful for taking a drink and a book outside on the patio at any time of the day now. But there's definitely that feeling in the air that you need to make hay while the sun shines.
I'm loving September's welcoming shoulder!
I hope you are too!
Ciao! for now!

So nice to see you visited today..I always love your company. :)
ReplyDeleteO, so far, September has been such a relief to us out here in West Texas. We had the longest, hottest and driest summer...and sooo ready for cooler days and nights. Today was so nice..and we are supposed to get down to the middle 50's in the morning. Out here, we jump from 103 to 70, almost overnight. :)) Course, there's some sort of front, I think.
I love all the beautiful planters here. I hope someday to visit your shop. We used to come to Alb. quite often..one of our favorite places.:)
Hello Jacqueline
ReplyDeletea pretty post with the ferns
I haven't seen maiden hair fern for such a long time and I have always felt it is the most prettiest fern - it is so feminine.
have a great day ahead and stay well

What a beautiful display, Jacqueline! I love your fern in the first picture and you've given me a great idea for a tureen I found at the thrift store that had no lid. It may just become a planter for a pretty plant like yours!
ReplyDeleteI love to be outdoors, even in the heat! But the cooler temps are much nicer to relax in! Lovely photos!

Hi Jacqueline
ReplyDeleteI've never heard the shoulder term before, but it makes sense. I like the pots and book with bird drawings on your table.
Isn't September wonderful! Cool mornings and lower humidity here in PA! Happy Labor Day Jacqueline:@)
ReplyDeletethat was some yumminess! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline!
ReplyDeleteI never heard of that term before either!
Thanks for that little bit of advice!
Your vignette has me wishing I was heading out for an antiquing day but it is not in the plans unfortunately today!
I just noticed your brown transferware butter keep with the cow on top!
Oh MY heavens! THAT is to die for!
Have never seen one like that.
Have a nice holiday.
xx

I have to tell you that I have that same plant stand. It belonged to my mom. I painted it maroon when we moved and kept it in the house. This summer I painted it white and moved it to the screened porch. I ALMOST posted about it today, but when I checked my pictures, alas, I only had the after and not the before. So I'll just enjoy your post instead.
ReplyDeleteI love the vase. You give me so many good ideas. I love how you dressed up this setting.
ReplyDeleteI am loving this shoulder season too! We are having great weather but there is a freshness to the air.
ReplyDeleteHope you get to enjoy some nice relaxing time outdoors on your pretty porch.
Take care,
Carolyn
What beautiful and charming whites on your patio! I need to wear a sweater on my outside deck now, here in Mi.
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
More beautiful images! I'm ready for fall, and I'm happy to say that today was delightful. Finally we had some cool temps. Hope it says around.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking forward to some cooler weather down South. Beautiful ferns and vignettes!

I love all of your plants and the way you have them displayed. So pretty. The table is such a wonderful place to sit and enjoy everything and read a wonderful book. Fantastic tablescape. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
