Happy May Day!

The first of May always feels like it needs a little celebration! We didn't have a May Day tradition when I was growing up, but doing something special to celebrate spring is a wonderfully romantic idea.

I have other things to celebrate too. A thrilling first month doing business in a wonderful little French Boutique, Je L'Adore! in Albuquerque (shop info is on my sidebar), and a little feature article in the Victorian Homes Magazine Summer issue! (You can find a peek of those pages at the end of this post.)

I gave you a glimpse of my shop setup a few weeks ago, here, and promised you more photos of the rest of the beautiful shop owned by my generous partner, Tammy Rorem.

So here are a few shots of what's new at Cabin & Cottage, followed by views of the gorgeous styling and merchandise at Je L'Adore!

I  made these little paper rose magnets for my industrial posting board by simply hot glueing the rosettes to a small circular magnet. (It made me feel absurdly creative! Haha!)

I never pass up a vintage basket!

A diminutive wicker settee for babies or bears.

The rest of these shots, including this one, are from Tammy's wonderful part of the shop.

Yum!

I can't get over the amazing color of this darling pink dresser. . . .

Sweet Limoges.

Beautiful linen from France.

Oui, oui!

The rest of these views are all from quick shots I got today of my favorite corner of the shop.

Part of the stunning window display.

An antique trunk full of treasure.

I want it all!

The new issue on newstands now!

Thanks goes out to Merrie Destefano, the editor, for inviting me to share photos from my blog and a few tips for decorating with summer whites.

And thanks to you for stopping by to help me celebrate a very happy May Day!

I hope it's just as sweet for you!

Jacqueline
