I broke away long enough from my tax forms to find that the US post office long ago designed a custom stamp for me. Well, in 2011 anyway. Where have you been all my life?
The old saying "nothing lasts forever" is no longer true! The white roses stamp has "Forever" emblazoned on it, and will serve faithfully as long as the P.O. delivers mail. Honestly, if I were designing my own stamp, this is exactly what it would look like. Finding it was like a sweet little bouquet in the midst of a hair pulling task. . . .
I had to go find a bunch more old-fashioned things to go with them. . . .
Happy Spring! It's official now.
I'm off to write a pretty letter!
I hope you're enjoying an old-fashioned moment or two this week.
And don't forget to stop by Kathleen's for
and Kim's for
Jacqueline
I love the pen! The handwriting says so much about the person- I wish I could make beautiful letters like that!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCes timbres avec ces roses sont magnifiques et donnent vraiment l'envie d'écrire!!!!!

Bonne fin de semaine
A bientôt

These lovely roses--and the LOVE stamp that features a basket of pansies--have always been my two favorite stamps. My experience is that they tend to issue all the pretty stamps early spring... in time for brides to send their invitations. Your photos are just lovely, Jacqueline. Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteConfess, you actually design for the P.O. don't you?
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline: I love the stories you tell with pictures! I see you have found your 'stamp of approval'..Happy Spring...Judy
ReplyDeleteI agree they seem like they were just made for you. Beautiful roses.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see a pretty stamp for a change. Every time i go to the post office for my job, i ask them if they have any prettier stamps, and they always say they don't! I will definitely be on the look out for these, they're wonderful...

Post offices shoul be plenty of these kind of stamps!

ReplyDeleteDear Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteI reached your blog via a comment you left at Susan's Evelyn and Rose.
Oh my, what a beautiful place you have here. I already scrolled some of your previous posts and find everything so welcoming, inviting and inspiring to say the least.
Being able to visit you today has been a real treat.

Oooh, I adore this vignette you've put together to go along with your delightful stamps. I'll have to ask for those next time I visit the P.O. Just lovely, and you've arranged your treasures perfectly here. The recipients of your letters are so lucky!

Those are really pretty stamps for sure.
ReplyDeleteI never buy a bunch of them...only what I need when I take my letters to the postoffice.
99% of our bill are paid on line.
and when I mail things to the states (where a large majority of my friends and family live) I never know what kind of postage it will take, that's why I just wait until I take it in.
What lovely photos! Your stamps are beautiful and I think it's pretty cool that you have your 'own' design made. Very pretty! Hugs, Pamela
ReplyDeleteYou find the darnest things and make such beautiful posts out of them.....common, everyday into sweet and precious!!! hugs...cleo

ReplyDeleteHello Jacqueline, I'm absolutely charmed by these little treasures. It is a cabinet of curiosities or victims of techonology whichever way you want to see...I could count on my fingers how many of my friends send handwritten letters or go to post office to buy a stamp to post a letter. There are not many, to tell you the truth. ASD
ReplyDeleteyes I enjoyed that very much
ReplyDeletethose stamps are beautiful, well everything in your pictures are beautiful
I LOVE pretty postage!{I have even been known to send valentine cards in a large envelope to special places in the US to be hand stamped with a valentine logo...yea my family didn't even notice! :(
ReplyDeleteI specifically asked for the new LOVE stamps for Valentines day cards and the postman left me bonsai trees!! Not really what I wanted. LOL I found out later they didn't make a lot of the LOVE stamps so maybe he was out. I did purchase some at another post office though. LOVE letter writing, beautiful paper and beautiful stamps!!
