My Fairytale

Winter has taken a severe turn in my neighborhood. We don't have bitter cold, or even snow, but the landscape has turned awkward and sharp edged.

My mind is drifting somewhere over the rainbow where bluebirds fly. Where the yellow brick road meets the Emerald City.

My fairytale needs fairies and flowers today, and a bit of lace. The tinkle and chime of tea cups will drown out the wind, and shake off the chill, and I'll wander down the rose filled lane of a different season for awhile. . . .

I hope you're enjoying your weekend reveries!

Jacqueline

  7. Love the term sharp edges..however, we aren't having any of that. Dust storm today. Waiting for spring. Dust storms are certainly more tolerable when the daffodils are swaying with the gusts.. Have a great weekend.. xo marlis

  10. Hello Jacqueline,
Your photos are just so pretty and the roses make me forget that our yard is covered in a blanket of cold white snow. Thank you for the smile and have a beautiful day.

  11. I think I'll join you. I was just out for a little walk in the snow with the dog and my camera in the back field and it's -10 celsius. Didn't say long. Stay cozy. Pamela

I looked for you...for I live "Somewhere Over The Rainbow"... Kansas 54 Highway was recently named "The Yellow Brick Road" and today the wind has been fierce. Perhaps it blew you beyond my reach? Lovely photography...have a wonderful weekend!
    Fondly,
