Blue Moon Roses

It seems likely that I won't be alone in mentioning the blue moon this Blue Monday. I wish I could say I know exactly why this full moon was a blue one, but I can't-- even though I read the explanation. Since it matters to me in no way at all, I just didn't keep it straight!

And since I did practically turn blue standing outside staring at the moon, it only seems fitting to feature my Moonlight Roses teacup by Royal Albert. I am making up for not having a matching saucer by pairing it with my Dainty Blue pattern dinner plate, also by Royal Albert.

I have mentioned before that I used to set the Thanksgiving table with all different place settings, and this is one of them.

I suppose you could even say I only use this setting now once in a blue moon! Har, har!

Thanks for stopping by, and for forgiving me all this.
 It was just too irresistible.
Ciao! for now!

  11. What beautiful tea cups. A full moon is when the moon is full twice in one month. It happens very infrequently and that is why people say Once in a blue moon. My oldest daughter was born on a blue moon.

  14. Happy Blue Monday! I like your blues. There used to be a wonderful shop here in town featuring Royal Albert. I didn't get into it nearly as often as I would have liked, always had my small kids with me, and now it is gone. Really a shame. They have such lovely patterns!

  21. Hi Jo,
I have to tell you that I am not a blue person (I don't have to many things that are blue). But I think you might have changed that because I love that blue rose china cup! I might have to start looking for some like that. Your photos are great, as always. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
