Just Getting Started

My Christmas decorating just evolves as the season goes on. I get ideas, and sometimes get time to do a few. I wanted wings for my Santo this year but haven't found any yet. Making them probably won't happen. I knew I wanted a crown. This one is a paper cupcake wrapper. I made the wreath from floral picks just twisted together.

I'm wreath crazed this year and plan to make a simple one (or two, or three) from seeded eucalyptus. In the meantime it looks and smells fabulous in a flower bucket, and there's tons that you can do with it..

I saw these skinny trees everywhere last year and think it's perfect for our small sitting room. I'm going to keep adding things to this corner.

A window pane for hanging and displaying things on.

Tucking things into the painted cupboard. When I like the way it looks, I'll show you.

One of my favorite inspirations. *sigh* (That's the fluffy scarf that I knitted last year underneath.)

Just getting started. . .
but play time is all over for a couple of days!

 Wishing you a delightful Thanksgiving!

Jacqueline

  25. I'm back again, through My Romantic Home this time. I always love your pics! how DO you do that? Do you know, my hunt for paperwhites and amaryllis has come with nil? is this even possible!? But here in South Florida we are cursed with only large chain stores and malls, no more of those quaint individual owner stores I'm used to from New York City, I'm spoiled and love it. sigh...I had to stoop to ordering bulbs over the mail without the tactile pleasure of sight/touch/pay/own. I ordered 321 bulbs for $45.00, so its kinda revenge for driving around to no avail, now I will have hundreds! LOL to plant both outside and inside.
And now, you've done it again. I'm having a White Sparkly Christmas and just learned of this magazine by Tricia Foley here and just ordered that for a penny on amazon...you're costing me money, Lady LOL....well some things go right :-)...always a pleasure here.

  31. Love that skinny white tree. I have an old thrift shop white tree that is aged and raggedy and it's my favorite tree. I can almost smell the seeded eucalyptus too, can't wait to see the wreath you make with it!
