Vintage Rose Runner

I was happy to find a few sweet and springy linens just in time for Pink Saturday! I am crazy over vintage rose prints, and this one has a textured fabric and a pink ruffle trim.

Few of us cover our dresser and table tops with runners these days, but I think this fabric would look cheery over a nursery room chair or maybe as a hand towel in the powder room.

I also found a beat up old ironstone basin that has a few cracks, and will be used mainly for display anyway. It's already helping me show off this rosy runner in its best light.

I always feel lucky to get vintage hand towels in pairs. They make such nice gifts that way. These cross-stitch towels were a thrift store find. They make nice napkins too.

I hope your weekend is rosy too! Get lots of sleep because you'll have one less hour before it's all over. Spring forward ya'll!

Jacqueline

You always have such pretty linens! I bought an embroidery pattern for redwork pillowcases, since I can't seem to find any vintage sets. You inspired me to look for vintage lace edging to add to them when I'm done. Yesterday I found enough for one and I have plenty of time to look for more, since I haven't started embroidering yet. :@

Oh so very pretty and sweet. Anything with roses captures my heart. A lovely pairing with the pitcher and basin.
I don't like to lose the hour of sleep for one night but I welcome the extra hour of daylight right through spring and summer.
Have a lovely weekend.

Jacqueline,
This entire month you have been tugging at my heart strings with all your elegantly displayed roses! Inspiring so, that "Mr. Ed" and I did a minor re~arrange in the Master Bedroom and hung some of my rose prints and a hanpainted plate on the wall! Been wanting to do this since before Christmas...thanks for the gentle nudge!Keep 'em coming!
Fondly,
Pat
