Limoges In Blue

We're back to seasonable weather. The dust is flying, blossoms are being rudely plucked from their branches, and the fence has blown down. Fortunately I had a blissful afternoon of beating around the flea market yesterday, and have a new Limoges teacup to cheer me while I get back to business with my planner.

I've actually had an eye out for french blue. It's not a color I have around much. But I wouldn't want to get in a rut!

I enjoy the delicate details of Limoges, and I'm always in awe when I find a perfect piece. I take that as a sign that it may have been a special treasure to someone.

With all the grit and howling and rattling going on outside, I need a dose of blue serenity for awhile on a Sunday afternoon. It's been a busy past week, and a bit of time with my pretty cup and calendar will help me find ground again. . . .

I also found a little snippet of handkerchief linen all worn and soft, and full of wonderful detail. What more might one need to be armed against the fickleness of spring?

Is the season being kinder where you are?
I hope you're having a wonderful day!

Jacqueline

  4. Oh how beautiful!

And how it goes with your awesome planner!!

You should share that post with the Blue Monday link party!

You always cheer me, even if the weather is fickle.

It rained and thundered. It broke and the sun shone for a few hours. It's raining again.

    Spring...gotta love it.

  5. That is the prettiest teacup! I've never seen this pattern before but I like the aqua blue and the raised pattern. Have a wonderful week! We're enjoying unseasonably warm temperatures in the 60's this weekend and for a few more days! Blessings, Pamela

  18. I hope the wind has finally settled down, Jacqueline! By contrast, Sunday was a beautiful day here -- bright sun, warm breezes -- and today is the same, with temperatures nearing 70! A record for New England on this date. The limoges is so delicate and that shade of blue is remarkable! I love your planner...
