Easter Parade

When I was a girl we often had an Easter picnic if the weather allowed. And sometimes even if it didn't! It's not unusual to have our last snowfall of the season at Easter in NM. But not this year! The weather promises to be perfect for some of our most beloved traditions.

From bonnets and baskets, to bunnies and bird's nests, here is a parade of some of our favorite ways to celebrate the season. (Come to think of it, I've never actually been to an Easter Parade. Have you?)

I hope it's a lovely Easter weekend for you too!

Jacqueline

  6. What a beautiful collection of pictures you showed for my 1st ever Easter parade. What better start could I wake up to this morning and see all those pretty things, I'm still in hospital having a weeks treatment for my back, so seeing all those pretty embroidered cloths & pink roses & tulips will help take my mind off my last spine injection, which is due in an hours time, then fingers crossed Mr France is coming to collect me and I'll be back home for Easter treats. Enjoy your Easter.

  16. Love the collages today! Hope your weather holds. We are to get rain on Saturday in Colorado, the day of our Easter egg hunt --- ugh! For some reason, it is just not right hunting eggs in the house!!! Have a joyous Easter. Sally

  19. Jacqueline,
Such exquisite Easter Parade photos, dear friend!!!I am quite smitten with the pink roses in the pitcher, gerbera daisy and the pillows with stripes and ties!!!
Yes!!! As a small child, I remember going to an Easter Parade in KC, KS.
Don't remember too much, vintage cars (50's). . . ladies walking in heels, gloves and hats. Holding tightly to my MoMa's hand. It was on Minnesota Avenue.
Our weather is predicting rain in the afternoon here on the Prairie.
We've had several resident bunny "Pee Wee" sightings this Spring. Nice to have our own Easter Bunny!!! (wink! wink!)
    Have a Blessed Easter!
    Fondly,
    Pat

  26. FINALLY, I'm able to get over here and bask in some of your gorgeous photos... Those pink tipped roses are just too pretty to even be real... and love all the Easter decor. I think an Easter picnic is the most wonderful idea too. When i was young we would attend Easter service at church.. and they would have a really big cross made of chicken wire at the front of the church, and all the children would bring flowers and they would all walk up in procession and fill the cross with spring blossoms. I always thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world...
