My new issue of Victoria Magazine came today, and since we have a perfectly sunny, warm, and windless day, I took it out onto the patio for a break with a glass of iced tea. I had to stop and pore over the Shops We Love section that features Vintageweave Interiors. So many things to love! And how many of us were inspired by this standard feature in the old Victoria's to begin shopkeeping ourselves? Or at least want to!
The pages made me want to dress up the place, and dust off some of my own patio urns. Nothing so rare and wonderful as the shop things shown, but close enough!

Love the displays!
I'm also showing you a couple of recent buys from my travels today, but one of my fab finds turned up soon after I got home. This wonderful old ironstone bowl for one dollar at a local fleamarket! What a welcome home!
I brought home two dinner plates in the Furnivals Quail pattern at a good price. Couldn't resist!
These are my little bunnies from LaurieAnna's at Canton.
. . .with a few more quail eggs for the season.
I have tons of catching up to do, but it's so nice to stop for a tea and magazine break!
Now, back to business. . .
Hope you're headed for a great weekend!
Jacqueline

I love this post! Absolutely adore the brown transferware and the way the eggs look when displayed with it. You know how very much I love ironstone and you have bunches.

Oh Jacqueline, I received my new Victoria as well I love the Frenchh cover, a little less Victorian and more euro chic :)
ReplyDeleteLove always what you inspire here, as for the ironstone bowl, it's always all bought up around here or know one has taste, or they just don't get rid of it because its so hard to find. I did pick up an old large ironstone white pitcher yay! That was a thrill !!
Well off to paint my front room floor :)
Hope the colour turns out.
Xx
Inspiring weekend to you my dear.

I thought of you immediately, Jacqueline, when my VICTORIA magazine arrived yesterday and I saw that they were highlighting French treasures. What beautiful plates you brought home, and such a lovely bowl. I do love ironstone bowls, they are so handy for so many things and get moved around the cottage so easily to take on different chores. Hoping you have a beautiful weekend and that there is time (and fair weather) for being outside.
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, the quail eggs are delightful. Where do you get these? They are perfect with your style. And great find on the ironstone bowl. I came home with a great platter a week or so ago. It was $10, and I thought that was a bargain. But $1, can't top that!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the Furnivals Quail patten and enjoy a teapot and cups and saucers.
Pięknie i nastrojowo jak zawsze ... porcelana wspaniała ! - pozdrawiam serdecznie
ReplyDeleteI have always loved Victoria Magazine. I was very happy when they started publishing again. It is an idyllic world where everything is beautiful. I browsed today at the Brocant Village St. Paul in Paris and am lusting over some vintage linens.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty an inspirational! I'm getting the house all Easter-decked -- but I can't seem to find time to blog it! I'd better do it soon!
ReplyDeleteSo many inspiring pictures of ways to incorporate pottery & china pieces into every day décor of my home...and I love just looking at your photos.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention I love the ironstone bowl !
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful & I love your bunnies!
