GOURMET WHITES at Cabin & Cottage

The month of May is full of celebration. Need a little excitement on the menu for your graduation party, for instance? How about some cut crystal and pearly white with a bit of silver on the side?

Sugary incandescent white.

Hanging crystal tidbits mirrored in the moon.

Delicious glimmering teardrop chandelier.

Glistening light glazed on a shapely tureen.

Crunchy ivory shells in jeweled candy jars.

Glittery glass garlands on ice.

"The hours I spent with thee, dear heart,
are as a string of pearls to me;
I count them over, every one apart,
My rosary, my rosary."
Robert Cameron Rogers

White beaded evening bag to light up the festivities.

Have you had your daily dose of refracted crystal light?

Give me food, air, water, and dripping crystals.

A symphony in glass over mirror.

I'll have some cut glass over antique lace, please.

French crystals hovering over a beveled mirror plateau du jour.

A Bistro a day keeps the doctor away.

Is this the way granny served her glasses?

Bon soirée! Bon feast! Ciao!

Jacqueline

  20. Oh! This post is just gorgeous, with all the sparkly and silver and white! I've been gone a while and also just read your "chairs" post and was so relieved!! I have really been putting myself down because I have this thing for chairs that I can't explain! It was so nice to see I am not alone! Maybe I'm not nuts after all! I love my white wicker chairs, and, then, of course, my tan and green ones. Last summer I bought at Target four (only 4)cute, white chairs that look like the french bistro kind. I have a couple (or is it three?) bistro sets, too. And just last week gave one of my daughters 4 sling chairs that I figured I really ought to let go and knew she'd use. And that barely begins the list. I just bought at an estate sale two weeks ago a darling, simple wood chair painted an adorable aqua blue---for $7. How could I pass it up?
Ah well. And I was wondering if you have a thing for lamps and lighting, too, and then there's this post with those gorgeous, gorgeous chandeliers. So beautiful. So thanks for brightening my day and easing my mind!
    Love,
    Kay
