Snow!

A little snow snuck in overnight! Is there anything better to set the mood for Christmas?

Just a quick peek out the front door.

Too sunny to stick around, but so beautiful while it lasts,

The new evergreen from the nursery hasn't even found its new pot yet!

Kitty tracks!

So cheery!

But makes it hard to feel like getting anything done!

Happy snow day to you!

Jacqueline

  1. Rain here! ;-)
The snow is lovely as it settles on the plants and adobe walls.
    Merry Christmas, Jacqueline.

  4. my daughter in Albuquerque text us pictures this morning of her kids out sledding. Meanwhile, our daughter in Illinois text us pictures of her kids out playing in sunshine. Got to love when everything gets a little mixed up for a while. The best part is, my mother in California is wishing the rain would stop for a while...no more drought there!

  6. I used to live where it snowed, in fact I spoke with my MIL today and it was snowing there, and as much as it is beautiful, I don't really miss it! However, at Christmastime, I wish we would see a miracle of snow in Phoenix!! Your photos are beautiful! Blessings, Cindy

  7. How exciting and beautiful! NOW it feels like Christmas I bet! :) We went up to the mountains for our Christmas tree this year - - that was the only snow we've seen... Hopefully we'll get a little this year at home! Merry (early) Christmas! ~julie

  8. The photos are just beautiful, especially that first one! But I can tell you from someone who usually has snow about six months of the year, I am so glad that it has been postponed this year. In fact, we're not expecting to get snow for another week! Enjoy your snow. It sure does brighten up everything, doesn't it.

  11. Oh, that is so pretty and bright!! Yes, it sets the tone for the season. We normally have about 9 to 12 inches by now, but not a flake in sight!!! We are having the warmest spell of weather in 144 years for this time of year!!! Ho,ho,ho.....

  12. So pretty and Christmasy! We are having spring temps instead of winter temps here outside Chicago. No snow just rain and mild temps. Feels more like Easter than Christmas. Have a great new week.

  13. Ha that's pretty good you have snow and I don't! I know it's coming but I've been delighting in the fact that we are snow free! It's always so pretty to see the snow clinging to branches! Beautiful pictures!

  14. You have a lot of snow! Here in Michigan it is 62 as I awake, though later in the week will be a little colder. We still don't know about snow, but maybe by Christmas. To be honest, after last year, I would far rather look at it in your photos than in mine! It really is very beautiful and I love each and every image you shared!

  19. Hi Jacqueline, seeing your snow made me smile this morning being that we had our first big winter snow storm through the night and we are snowed in for the day. So Christmas y. It really sets the mood for this special time of year. xx Jo

  20. Christmas 2010 we chose Santa Fe as our vacation spot. We planned to ski and enjoy the magic of Christmas Eve on Canyon Road. Well, we got in one lackluster day of skiing due to the lack of snow. Canyon Road was magical. Then, on the day we were scheduled to leave, a blizzard came through and we barely made it out of town. That blizzard chased behind us all the way out of Arizona.

  21. OH Jacqueline, yes indeed this makes it feel a whole lot like Christmas, we here had rain with and ice and then some flakes, our forecast is predicting snow! Some snow....this is to be one of our worst winters in 10 or so years. It will be nice to have a bit of snow coving our desert.
So lovely seeing your home surround with snow, and I am sure it won't be the last of it.

All is calm here, and beautiful dressed in white.

    Xx

  22. I do not mind a light dusting of snow so it does not affect getting out to stores, but hate heavy snows. Thank goodness here in Oregon City, OR we rarely get snow! Pretty to look at but no fun going out in it. I was trapped on a road in my van for several hours once due to s very unusual heavy snowfall here. No fun!!

  23. What the heck? You live in the sun belt and I live in the snow belt (Wisconsin) yet you have snow and I have none. Not fair! I love snow.
