I've been wanting to have a garden party all summer. Not the kind that's a big to do, and takes two weeks planning, and tons of work. I mean the kind that almost makes itself.
The last time the little girls visited we said it would be so much fun to have a party tent. I'd love one with big pink stripes, but while I'm waiting for that, a pop up market canopy seemed like a smart thing to have.
The Dads got it up in about twenty minutes, so we pulled in a table and put a few things on it. The china cups are all for atmosphere. They just say "Garden Party" to us.
We draped a few vintage lace curtains at the corners, and Voila!
A few plant stands from the patio dress things up.
I envisioned my summer garden party all in flowing white.
On the menu? Cheese, croissants, pineapple spears, and red velvet cake! Bon appetite!
Everyone thought it was the perfect end to a garden party
Thanks so much for joining us!

ReplyDeleteOh my dear, how I adore the pastel shades of your china collection and your table layout is impeccable. It's perfectly romantic. It's like a dream vision and I thought I would be seeing a white rabbit in his waistcoat popping out at any minute, running late to attend a garden party and then he would take me down to a wonderland - a magical land...the land of Cabin & Cottage...
ReplyDeleteGirls! What fun!

If I had had the honour of an invitation to your garden party I would have worn a long, floaty white dress and a big floppy hat with flowers. I'd have brought some my husband's scones and meringues and a bottle of sparkling elderflower wine. :-)
