Prints, Dishes & Shells

I didn't finish my cloche vignette before my trip, but I got lots of inspiration for it while I was gone. I love a mix of elements from nature, and visiting VIGNETTES at Ocean Beach made me want to see lots of white and shells.

I do that dance between wanting a spare look and then wanting lots to look at. I don't suppose you really have to choose between the two. One time it's one thing, and then it can be another.

Weeds and botanical prints, dishes and shells. It all makes for a lively mix of texture and shape with a little gleam mixed in.

I've been wanting to pair this milkglass compote with a glass cloche for some time now. So many vignettes. . . . So little time. . . .

And here we are turning another corner on summer!
I'm wishing a very fond farewell to July. . . .

Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments and visits!
I still have quite a few left to return --
I'm off to see what you all have been up to!

Have a fabulous week ahead!

Jacqueline

  6. Your milk glass stand is absolutely exquisite, drool, drool. I want to get a cloche but everyone I find is way too expensive for this old gals pocketbook. Sigh! Your things are so gorgeous. I got some wonderful ideas for displaying some of goodies. Thanks
Hearing you talk about Ocean Beach makes me homesick for S.D. Lived there for 21 years and sure do miss it in the summertime. I was a beach nut, love the water. Used to hang out at Pacific Beach with oldest dauhgter and her friends, worked at shop on the boardwalk couple summers. People thought we lived down there but we lived in east county in Santee.

  7. Hi J,
You have brought the beach home and kept it under glass, very nice!! The bird looks just like your sea bird, from your pic I love! The tiny tiny shells, darling!! The milkglass compote with the cloche top, the edging of the milkglass mimics coral... or so I thought! :-)
    Glad your back:-)
    Hugs,
    Bella
