April is a month for occasions in our family. Anniversaries and birthdays, and of course, Easter. So I'm thinking of celebrations.
I have my blossoming tea things out. I think of this as my singing china because of the wonderful way it rings when you use it. I also always think of Jane, my vibrant ninety-year-old Mother-in-Law, from whom I inherited it. This pink is the color of her walls. All of them.
I just came from the nursery with Alyssum. It's still in the plastic nursery trays, so I dressed it up for the table.
This strawberry and cherry vintage cloth was the first one I ever found at a thrift shop. Do you think I would ever part with it?
And what completes us more these days than our beautiful blue babies?
Yes. . . a beautiful start.
Vintage curtains I was thinking of using for the table sometime.
All the best to you for the new week!
Ciao! for now!

Beautiful photographs of beautiful subjects! The colors are all so pretty. And look how well the blue jars go with the tablecloth!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how those first finds have a way of sticking around? Of course, the tablecloth, even if it was the 50th tablecloth would most likely have to stay.
Oh my goodness I love all the pinkness.
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, love these photos and those pink dishes are delish!!
ReplyDeleteYOur pink china is just gorgeous! So delicate and ladylike. YOu photographed them brilliantly.

Hi Jacqueline, I'm visiting from Bellas Rose Cottage and I LOve the tea set. Beautiful! Happy celebrating!
ReplyDeleteA delightful pink tea set with cherry blosooms. I saw a pink tea set like this on the online vintage shop called The Oxford Tea Party. I almost bought it but I didn't. Yes, waste not, want not. It's a splendid idea to recycle things - your curtain turned into the tablecloth.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ~ you always have the most beautiful pieces. Hope you have a lovely week :O)
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, I just loved this post! Your tea set is so feminine and lovely. I got a kick when you said "all" of your m-i-l's walls were that shade of pink! And the sweet container/embroidery you put your alyssum in is beyond wonderful! Bess
