Someone, somewhere, on some excellent blog, recently explained about the dog days of summer.
I was happy to have my curiosity satisfied in learning that instead of a lazy dog searching for shade, dog days refers to constellations, and the position of the earth in relation to the sun at this time of year.
But I'VE hit the position of the lazy center where I burrow in, unmotivated to do much of anything.
I really am a BURROWER. I always say you can't have too many bed pillows , for instance, but I often do have too many, and have piles thrown around the floor by morning.
I prefer the cushy inside of dark rooms on my days off rather than the hot and harsh afternoon sun.
Gear up time for many of us is just around the corner. If we're going to get to camp, the lake, vacation, etc., it has to be now. Soon it's time to buy school clothes.
We're no longer waiting for it to get warm enough, for roses to bloom, for the sunflowers to gain their height, for the full flower of anything! This is what full flower feels like.
Finally finished for a while. Cut a few blooms. Pluck a few veggies from the garden. Relax after the visitors have cleared out. Enjoying the marshmallow center. Dog or no dog.
Here's wishing you your own soft center somewhere! Ciao! for now! Thanks for stopping by my lazy corner of the world!
