Susan Wheeler's book was included with a tiny tea set for the nursery some time ago.
My long time friend and pen pal Kay and I have exchanged Susan Wheeler greeting cards for many years.
Susan's expressive illustrations add an irresistible emotional quality to cottage charm.
And storybooks and tea just go together like milk and honey.
I find pink and yellow the ultimate CHEERY color combination. What's yours?

Hello Jacqueline, Your tea set is perfectly cheery! Love that tablecloth, You alway have great linens!
ReplyDeleteI have been hoping around your blog tonite. I had wondered about the popularity of cottage styling in N.M. then I read your first post. It reminded me of my Great Aunt, I was caring for my Grandmother (in Portales) 15 or so years ago and and I quilted back then. My Great Aunt stopped by and asked why I would want to make an old quilt, then she said "Oh, you live in those houses made of wood... they probably look good together" much distaste in her voice:-) It cracked me up tonight thinking about it:-)
