Tea Story

English Bone China with "Hazel", a rose motif, and "Sharon" on its mark.

Susan Wheeler's book was included with a tiny tea set for the nursery some time ago.

My long time friend and pen pal Kay and I have exchanged Susan Wheeler greeting cards for many years.

Susan's expressive illustrations add an irresistible emotional quality to cottage charm.

And storybooks and tea just go together like milk and honey.

I find pink and yellow the ultimate CHEERY color combination. What's yours?

Today I'm joining
Tea Cup Tuesday at Martha's Favorites,
and Terri's Artful Affirmations.
Pop in for more cheer!

Ciao! for now, and Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello Jacqueline, Your tea set is perfectly cheery! Love that tablecloth, You alway have great linens!
I have been hoping around your blog tonite. I had wondered about the popularity of cottage styling in N.M. then I read your first post. It reminded me of my Great Aunt, I was caring for my Grandmother (in Portales) 15 or so years ago and and I quilted back then. My Great Aunt stopped by and asked why I would want to make an old quilt, then she said "Oh, you live in those houses made of wood... they probably look good together" much distaste in her voice:-) It cracked me up tonight thinking about it:-)

Hello :) What a gorgeous teacup! Love the soft yellow color and the sweet floral bouquet. The tablecloth is a perfect compliment to the teacup, and what a perfectly sweet story book to go along with :)

Happy Teacup Tuesday!

Warmest, Brenda
