My Shabby's Have Arrived

When I visited Rachel's L.A. shop in November, the items I wanted were on backorder. I had almost forgotten about them when they arrived on Christmas Eve! It was almost like getting a surprise present from myself! I found it hard to photograph up close, but you can see my bottle rack displayed in the center of the photo above.

Vintage glassware was displayed on it in the shop, and it had the best price I have seen for one its size.  Done deal! A reproduction of course.

The possibilities are endless, but I tried my own glassware first!

I'm seeing teacups on it too.

You may also remember this luscious bedding I fell in love with before I ever went inside. Such a beautiful print! I got a set of the lovely teal pillow shams. So dreamy!

Shabby Chic linens come in a sweet little pouch with wonderful detail. Maybe I will use it for packing when I travel.

Here's a closeup of the tailored flange of the shams. I haven't had a chance to do up my bed yet, but I think I'm going to mix the shams with a pink striped duvet from RA's Target line, Simply Shabby Chic. Can't wait! Sometimes gifts to yourself are the best! haha!

I hope you're enjoying your week!

Jacqueline

  1. I think your bottle rack is one of the prettiest I've seen. Your vintage glasses are perfect for it. And I love the shams. RA really has had the longevity of keeping us loving her style.

Please share your bedroom when you've got the bed linens squared away!

  16. As usual, you chose beautiful items.

I thought of you today. I was visiting antique shops in Carpinteria looking for a piece of furniture for the living room. A couple of the shops I visited had the most wonderful linens. I was good and didn't buy anything because I was saving my money for the piece of furniture which will be expensive enough.

  18. That bottle holder has so many possibilities, Jacqueline! I can't wait to see all the ways you use it. And those pillow slips are just so lovely and such a beautiful color. They'll look wonderful with a pink/white stripe. Enjoy your presents! (By the way, I always get a present for myself when I'm shopping for Christmas. I'm tickled that someone else does this, too!)
