It just so happens I have been trying out a little bokeh since the holidays. I'm just using my Olympus point and shoot so it's been a little tricky, but it's fun getting a satisfying shot now and then. My camera has a "blur background" setting that never worked for me. When my son David, a photographer, came home for the holidays he gave me a few pointers. Thanks David!
And thanks Tracy!
Ciao! for now!

Great shots. Love the water droplets shot.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics. I am struggling right now with the picture quality on my blog. I have a hard time getting really clear shots and sometimes my colors are off. Great job.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and especially the raindrops!!!

ReplyDeleteThe photos are great! Sometimes I achieved better bokeh with my point and shoot than with my new fancy schmancy camera. Any tips from David you would care to share? lol.

I love this effect and still don't quite know how to achieve it...something to do with F stops probably...it would probably help for me to read the directions that came with my camera. Very pretty all.(-:

ReplyDeleteLovely! I have been playing with this, too...using a low aperture number with a zoom lens. The portrait setting on my camera also works for this, too. Any hints?
ReplyDeleteYour shots turned out well, love the candle and the raindrops.
ReplyDeleteI've played around with it a bit - maybe you could share your son's tips with us? Your photos are lovely.
