Roadside flowers work as well as those from the florist.
Primitive elements look terrific matched up with a few fine things.
Vintage towels have the heft to stand up to the outdoors, and are always elegant with their hand worked edges.
A little wild sprig looks cheery and sweet.
A bit of lace on a rusty table to lay your table setting on.
Hand blown glass seems perfect in this antique trug.

Love the mix of the old wood, linens and those beautiful glasses.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty over here. I love the sweetness and simplicity of the display. Just to sit there and sip some cool iced tea...seems so perfect! Coming over from TT at BNOP! Christie at threepixielane
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty table setting. Everything you have done to it looks just perfect. I would love to dine there.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of rustic combined with linen and lace. And your roadside flowers are just perfect! What a serene setting you've created.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, looks like a nice transition setting, summer approaching fall!
ReplyDeleteOh my Jacqueline, this is simplicity and beauty at its best. The contrast between the rustic and the fine things on and around the table is really lovely. Even the ABQ heat wouldn't stop me from being comfortable and cool in this setting!

The edges on your linens are beautiful, as is your photography. And you are correct about the roadside flowers. They add the perfect soft touch. Linda
ReplyDeleteI just love your photos and the crochet pieces are lovely. I have long wanted to follow in my grandmother's footsteps and add lovely crochet edges to all my pillow cases and towels....sigh.
ReplyDeleteOf course their pillow cases and sheets were such heavy duty fabric they lasted forever. I still have some of her edgings cut off old cases and meant to be sewn back onto new ones. Because of their age I have never used them for their intended purpose.
Have a great day....

I'll always have a soft spot for primitives. Your marriage of the old woods with the beautiful old linens looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove the glasses in your old trug. My Dad made a trug for me out of beautiful old walnut. I have it in my potting shed but it is too beautiful to use. Thanks for the great idea...it's coming into the cottage!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, just need a sweet tea and a comfy chair to be at rest.
ReplyDeleteLovely....all the right touches. Perfection.
ReplyDeleteOld and simple, but so beautiful. I love this post.
ReplyDeleteLayers upon layers of pretty!

Great looking table!
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, Thanks so much for linking up to Vignette Fridays this week! I love your vignette. So beautiful and original - and most importantly: INSPIRATIONAL! I think that this could easily be in a magazine. I love the juxtapose of the rustic table and slat wall with the softness of the lace ... simply stunning! All the best, Artie
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful post! Your olden linen and the wood look so pretty together.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You have such a way of putting the rustic with the fine.
ReplyDeleteI have been following you for quite a while, but am putting you on my blogroll so I don't miss a single post. Your blog is beautiful!
Everything is just lovely. Rustic, elegant and filled with charm. I would be so comfortable in this setting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography! You have some of the prettiest linens...
ReplyDeleteI love everything about your vignette. The linens and lace juxtaposed against the texture of the weathered wood is delightful. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteLove the linens on the rustic table and the tool try turned silverware platter. Gorgeous muted colors and combinations!!
ReplyDeleteLike your taste, you have my hand blown glasses.
ReplyDeleteI also like all the rustic mixed in with table linen.
