"When from a long distance past nothing subsists, after the people are dead, after the things are broken and scattered, still, alone, more fragile, but with more vitality, more unsubstantial, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long time, like souls, ready to remind us, waiting and hoping for their moment, amid the ruins of all the rest; and bear unfaltering, in the tiny, and almost impalpable drop of their essence, the vast structure of recollection."
Marcel Proust, Remembrance of Things Past, Swann's Way.
Pink seems to have passed for a season. Even the sedum hue of late summer is a melancholy shade. We'll be remembering the roses until they return.
Thinking of PINK on Saturday!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Ciao! for now!

Just a beautiful post filled with Pinkness.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,

I think that I'm going to choose to treat pink as an appropriate choice for year round tablescaping. Hey, we can now wear white after Labor Day...so why not indeed? The embroidered pieces brought a sweet smile to my face as I thought of my grandmothers. Thank you for sharing your lovelies and the lines by Proust. Cherry Kay

A belated thank you for visiting my blog, and your kind comment. I've been browsing through your blog and it is soooo beautiful! And your photography is incredible! I love your pinks, your brown & white transferware (and I've never been a BROWN person), and your magical whites....What fun it would be to visit your shop, but then again, I'd probably never want to leave! Kind regards, Sheilla
