Cheery Vintage Linens

Of all things vintage, linens are my inspiration. Mix them with anything new or old and they lend a character and warmth supplied by nothing else.

They're also extremely practical in decorating. Change your entire color scheme in five minutes.

The promise of spring makes me want my fifties print tablecloths out everywhere, even bedside.

I love flour sack pillowslips with an unreasonable passion. Such cheery prints and colors!

And fancy hand-crocheted pillowcases feel like nothing but pure indulgence to me!

What beautiful pieces of history...I have some pieces that belonged to my grandmother. She would crochet lace to the edges of pillowcases. I am so grateful to have them. Thanks for sharing!

I'm always on the lookout for vintage linens too; my passion is napkins and tablecloths.
Your colourful display today was so nice to see and I wish I still had some of the old tablecloths my mother had - our table was never bare.

Those crocheted pillowslips are amazing and so pretty! And another plate in the Rose Chintz that I love. The top plate/platter is lovely, too. Bess
