We are a long way from rose weather here in New Mexico, but I noticed forsythia blooming on my neighborhood walk yesterday. And many trees are beginning to bud. But many of you are still blanketed in snow and cold! A lot of people associate the color white with cold and sterile. But it just doesn't have to be that way!
The trick to keeping white cozy is to have lots of texture and to use more objects together. I love a spare look for warmer weather, but the colder climates need a lot more more cushy surfaces and visual interest indoors. Here are a few of the ways I keep white cozy in winter.

I seem to save bright colored roses for spring and summer too. Whether in a bouquet, on china, or as a motif on linen, white roses just seem made for decorating tables!
