My bouquet of lovely peonies are close to the end. They have lasted longer than I expected in our summer heat.
A little spray of garden roses keeps them company in the dining room. They are propped in a little old pressed glass pitcher that I found for a dollar. And yesterday I found a sweet little embossed plate at Carol V.'s spot at the Antique Co-op in Albuquerque. It set me back three dollars. I love its subtle charm.
I have never seen this mark before so I believe it's quite old.
I'm also featuring a new vintage fifties print tablecloth that I recently found at a thrift store for four dollars. It's in perfect condition.
And what a lovely pairing for summer!
Lacy white linens seem made for this time of year. So clean and bright. I enjoy seeing them just displayed in piles ready for anything.
And I'm loving these colors that seem barely there. . . .
Especially in the stripe of the tablecloth.
I hope you're finding a few cheery things to launch the new season too!
Happy summer hunting,
Jacqueline
