We have a couple of January birthdays among us. But it's only a good excuse to congregate on a week night.
Uptown has become our traditional destination. With good reason.
And one of those is our favorite place to eat.
Walk through that door, and it may as well be Italy as any other place a world away.
For a couple of swiftly passing hours, and with only a menu for a passport, we revisit our friendship.

Oh, how elegant! I wish we just had a Pottery Barn. At least I can drive 90 miles to Dallas to visit one. But to have all those lovely places right together!
