Pastel Party Plans

As much as we love bringing out our traditions this time of year, who can resist adding a little something new to the festivities?

Adding freshness to old celebrations is part of the delight.

Here are a few small things I invited home from my hunt for vintage decorations. . . .

A roll of understated wrapping paper compliments the pattern on these anonymous teacups that found their way home.

A pretty pair of vintage swan candleholders add interest to a table planned around the same pastel hues.

A single vintage image can be copied and made into tags, greeting cards, place cards, or ornaments for a party theme.

Let's face it. Sitting down and planning can sometimes be the most fun. And there's nothing like a fleamarket, and one of a kind vintage items to spark ideas.

I hope you're having fun with plans too!
Ciao! for now!
Jacqueline

  8. That you use crocheted items and lace is wonderful. The little coffee pot is perfection. Are you beginning to decorate for Christmas. I am leaning in that direction.. it seems so much work for such a short time..but I'm trying not to push the season either. Everything is beautiful. Just beautiful.

  22. My daughter/blog partner and I have a set of 12 vintage Thanksgiving post cards, and we are making copies, reduced in size, laminating them, and using them at my house for place cards for the big T'day meal. We also have tons of other holiday post cards that we bought for almost nothing when she was a little girl. (She's now 30). I will make little easels out of twigs to use a stands for them. Can't wait. Visiting from WOW. We are the Equestrian Hallway. Stop by for a visit.
