Three Summer Patio Tables

Milder summer evenings make for perfect patio dining. It seems like we took better advantage of this last year at this time when we had more small gatherings. But I always love simple and intimate settings like this patio buffet from last summer. 

Large vintage platters are perfect as individual serving plates, and are able to accommodate a dish like grilled chicken and all the side offerings with ease. 

Each of these script napkins (Potterybarn) feature a different motif.

An garden stand makes a good serving station.

This is a quick and easy set up too!

Table number two is more formal and romantic

Salad plates are from Anthropologie and dinner plates are vintage Wedgewood. Vintage napkins and flatware complete the setting.

Vintage transferware bone dishes enhance the theme.

A vintage tureen makes a statement at the center. 

Vintage pressed glass tumblers with silver rims hold tea lights. After dinner coffee or tea service is already set up with china with the same pale pink hues. 

The stylized dolfins on the sugar and creamer  remind me of the details on old maps.

An undyed linen table cloth with lacy details adds to the romance. 

Finally, a table featuring a Parian porcelain pitcher with a hunt scene. A few vintage serving pieces also grace the table.

Starring in this presentation are Johnson Bros Bird of Paradise pattern dinner plates.

An elaborate vintage cutwork tablecloth with lovely details of its own makes the occasion feel special.

The basket motif in the corners of the linen cloth echo that of the china plates.
