Everything takes on a different look when there are youngsters around. Some of it better, some worse, and all a matter of perspective.
"Did you take a picture of those?" my daughter asks incredulously of the wet "lawndry" strewn over the wall.
Somewhere in the middle of the festivities, the endless number of times you wipe a chin gets lost, and pretty cotton napkins give way to sturdy terrycloth.
Paper party hats are decorated with a logo, and the number of donuts doesn't matter.
Choosing which shoes look best with your outfit can be so exciting you hardly know which shoe goes where!
But for kids, I love the look of an idle moment the best.
