Mornings cool, but the afternoons are still surprisingly hot in our Septembers.
But evening is the mellow twin to the chilly dawn.
Travel south and you may embrace the warmth for another season or two.
But there's no denying the change in the air for the high desert.
It's a bittersweet time for heat and summer lovers.
So it's time to celebrate like friends meeting on a whirlwind holiday that is coming to a close.
White seems right for evening, and the table is laid with a simple vintage linen cloth.
A luxurious natural linen vintage crocheted tea cloth is laid ceremoniously on top.
A farewell party calls for something special, and this wide silk border is it!
Wishing for the eternal days on the beach, the centerpiece is filled to the brim with seashells.
Vintage flatware brings a little dignity and character to the everyday dishes and cotton napkins.
Sea stars welcome you with open arms as if to offer a last embrace.
Glasses are William Sonoma. Cavalini and Co. produce the Histoire Naturelle fish cards.
Cheers all around! It was so much fun! Thanks for stopping by!
Ciao! for now! And arrivederci!

Hi Jacqueline, Your table is just gorgeous... My favorite you have done! Love the seashell centerpiece, on that fabulous crocheted tea cloth (what a great piece!!) The silverware shot with the crochet is absolutely beautiful. Those fish graphics swimming in the drinking glass make a delightful shot.... LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
