We always have at least one white glove affair each summer. The ingredients include a few little girls, a little lace, a floppy bouquet of flowers, and as many frothy curtains as we can muster. Beneath the market canopy, which has been up since Memorial day-- the launch of the season-- a jangle of teacups and saucers completes the scene.
It's a breezy day, and threatens rain, but nothing can break the spirit of the garden party theater. The show must go on. . . .
The moving air only adds to the drama, and nothing here is too dear to weather a small tempest.
A summer afternoon in June is made for this, afterall. A bit of festooning and chasing around is good for the soul.
A pile of old vintage pearls is also a part of the recipe. Let the games begin!
Never pass up a tattered or ruffled window sheer. It's the very stuff of which dreams are made. . . .
Don't forget the fancy food!
We hope you have something fluffy and lovely waiting ahead for you too this weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
