It's January, and once again I have flung around the corner of the year into the fast lane. The first month often feels like the start of a journey. But in other ways it is just another stream of days full of the familiar. Too familiar even. And some of us get restless for a change.
And of course change will come whether we look for it or not! And for me there is comfort in the things that remain the same.
But January country has a different light. And my morning rooms have a brighter energy and glow. Have a peek around my dining room and just see for yourself!
I hope it's a beautiful new week for you too!

I adore how you've placed ironstone in front of your transfer ware, dear friend!!!
Not to hide by more to conceal it for a season!!!
Absolutely stunning!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Love the textures and the shades of white in your vignettes.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are always so lovely and Happy New Year! I always enjoy your postings!
ReplyDeleteSo peaceful...whites with weathered wood is so calming to me. Your vintage wood pieces remind me of my vintage wood buffet from my mother. It will always be favored in our home. The Charlotte stamped on the china is like artwork. So much quiet beauty in your home.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to have a peek around in lovely winter light.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

Everything looks so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline.
ReplyDeleteI don't need to tell u how much I adore you cottage and style. I have a friend who hangs her beautiful stamped bottoms of plates and platters on the wall with the stamps showing. I have to agree with her that theses stamps are as pretty as the piece and needs to be shown off.
See you soon, and all your inspiring beauty.
Xx

Beautiful, Jacqueline! I so love January's light, too...so bright, white, and fresh!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that overall I'm none too fond of white in winter -- because right now when I look out any window or venture outside, that's all I see. Not complaining because the snow is a month late for which I'm glad. But it wears thin fast.
ReplyDeleteBut when I come here I am so soothed by your white and I confess, if my house had this palate, it would be much brighter and lighter in these dark days of winter. Everything you share in this post is so very lovely. New beginnings -- but old friends.
The morning sun bouncing off of so many of your beautiful pieces is lovely. Have a wonderfully peaceful week! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - as always.

Always a joy to see your posts. Your photography is always so engaging. We are coated in a palette of white here which will be our permanent look for a while. The creamy white of your ironstone is a nicer shade of white. Though I like change I'm starting to realize the comfort of things that stay the same. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove love Jacqueline. I am busy packing and getting ready for my move but I always will take time to come by when you have a post. Swooning over your pretty vignette of the white iron stone especially with the wood pieces. Just gorgeous.
