I have visited France a few times. Enough to know I could never have my fill of the lace-filled blue-shuttered windows and doors shown on the cover of The Heart of France, a book Victoria magazine first promoted in the October issue of 2000.
I've never gone on a shopping trip per se. I'm a light traveler, and begrudge carrying anything harder to pack than linens. Therefore I count anything else from France in my household collections as a cherished souvenir.
Including my French Decorating books of which I have a few. This one is among my favorites. Leafing through its pages lets me stroll through my day recalling walks I took through beautiful village squares and avenues. Here's my vignette ode to French Blue!
Wishing you a bit of Victoria beauty in YOUR day!
Thanks for stopping by! Au Revoir, and Ciao! for now!

Hello Jacqueline! When I grow up I want to be you! I'd love to visit France - I believe I have walked some of those streets in my dreams. I love that book and others that celebrate the beauty of France - that shade of blue in the plate is wonderful. I believe I find shards in my yard with that shade and pattern - just love everything!
