I'd rather be blue, thinkin of you, . . . than happy with s-o-m-e-b-o-d-y else. I think Fanny Brice may have messed some people up there. But love can be confusing. Sort of like the spring we're having. One day you're blissed out on the lawn, and the next it's chilly and your market umbrella is up a tree. Who knew the wind would rage while we were sleeping? So today, I'd rather be blue. Savin' pink for tomorrow. . . .
Jazzy blues, moody blues. . . .
Who says blues can't be cheery?
Happy Monday everyone!

Your displays are wonderful. Blue is my favourite colour and I have quite a collection of blue things. My favourite pattern is blue onion and there are several companies that make it. It is getting harder and harder to find though.
ReplyDeleteJust BLUEtiful, Jacqueline!
ReplyDeleteYour blues tell such a lovely story, just heavenly.

Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteBlue is so very true...this post is lovely, dear friend! Thank you for the reminder of (Barbara)Fanny Brice...one of my favorite movies and actress/vocalist of all times!!! Have a beautiful weekend!
Fondly,

ReplyDeleteYour blues are very lovely and I think it is a good thing that you would rather be blue today. :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
Your blue is beautiful. I may have to start a collection to go with all my ironstone! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteJacqueline, this is a cute theme. Love seeing your blues, especially that sweet textile with the blue fleur de lys motif. Is that vintage? Looking forward to seeing the pinks tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful! but....please tell me, what is that delightfully decorative knife with the little notches on the top?
ReplyDeleteI'm such a sucker for kitchen gadgets.

ReplyDeleteHi Blue Girl,
ReplyDeleteWell if I read here first, I woulda got the answer to my question, yucky weather, sorry!
Lovely way to spend the day.. all blue :-)
I love your soft blue transferware, it's seeing all the pretties like that, that make the thrill of the hunt so sweet! Garage sales yes! Haha!
Hugs,
Bella
Gorgeous photos! It's an odd thing that I really love looking at blue and white in photos or other people's homes but I have absolutely none of my own - oh,no! I lie! I do have two Royal Copenhagen plates that come out on display in winter. One has a hare and the other an owl both in wintry scenes. Maybe I have the start of a collection after all:)
ReplyDeletejust beautiful, this is my colour, you have such lovely things and such a lovely way of putting them together. It is certainly a real talent. xx
ReplyDeleteYour blog is just lovely and this post is in perfect timing with a few pieces I just picked up at an estate auction. All Blue & White Toile. This piece I have a question about is the lidded piece with the insert (third from the bottom) Is is a butter dish, cheese keeper or something else?. I am so new to collecting that I am not sure. I plan to photograph and post on the items I picked up soon. But I am so new to collecting that any info you might send my way will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much~Penny
ReplyDeleteJacqueline!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by!
I have played your "blue(s) song" three times today!

Oh my! My brother said y'all were having 75 mph winds!! Crazy! I looked on my calendar and we've had 11 "mostly" sunny days and 6 with a few sun breaks, January through April! The rest have been dark, gray, and gloomy--and wet. Good thing I have your sunny, cheery blog to go to!!! Every post is a beautiful and wonderful retreat!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Kay
Blue and white is my favorite color combination. We are having crazy weather, too. I never know what to expect from one day to the next. Keeps it interesting :)
ReplyDeletegorgeous
ReplyDeleteOh my...made me swoon.

Ahhhh, what is it about the blue and white china, it just evokes a certain emotion, especially with all the white linens...
ReplyDeleteCindy
Very pretty blues. I love blue.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday to you, too, Jacqueline! It's been blue and cold and windy here, too. (And wet, in the bargain! ugh) Beautiful pictures and lovely, sweet china and linens... so comforting when it's chilly outside.
