A beautiful house like this one in the Pacific Northwest is almost enough to make me dream of moving.
It's on the historical register, and has stunning views of the bay from its perch on main street in Blaine, WA.
Lots of windows to catch the scenery, and painted in the perfect color.
I can just imagine the views in summer.
Maybe this is everyday stuff for you, but we have to travel a long way from home to see this dreamy architecture.
The beautiful little porches seem so welcoming in any kind of weather.
How fun it would be to decorate!
A change of scenery can be so inspiring!
It's been fun to dream of having a Christmas scene across the street every day of the year!
This is the tree I'd like to bring home. But it's a little too big for the overhead luggage!
Where do you go home for Christmas if only in your dreams?
Well, we're on the road again.
Ciao! for now!
Jacqueline

ReplyDeleteBlaine is a beautiful place, and my neck of the U.S. has so many beautiful homes, forests, coastal places of awe. Thank-you for reminding me not to take them for granted.

Beautiful house. Where I'd be in my dreams?? Spending Christmas in Thailand with my brother who lives there...that would be MY Dream come through...maybe someday :)
ReplyDeleteLovely house!!1
ReplyDeleteAh, the PNW is fabulous. I had the pleasure of living in the Seattle area for a few years in the early 90's. I loved it and oh, it is a gardeners dream there with all that volcanic soil. I also live in a very different place now - the flat prairie of Nebraska but we do have interesting old houses here. My Mom is orginally from Albuquerque and they spent the first 10 years of their retirement in Rio Rancho (before moving on to AZ)...you have the bluest skies I've ever seen there :)
ReplyDeleteCHRISTmas Blessings!
Gail

Wonderful and beautifully shot. Richard from My Old Historic House.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic family home this would make.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful home. I noticed all the lovely shingles and clapboards on its outside. The rooms would be large and square with lots of light from those big windows. I think it might be a lot of upkeep though and difficult to heat perhaps but it would be a fun place to decorate and raise a large family too!
ReplyDeleteOh what you could do with that house. I just posted several antebellum houses decorated for Christmas near us.
ReplyDeleteOh, that would be wonderful house to live in, wouldn't it?!
ReplyDeleteThat style of house is gorgeous. I too, dream of one just like it. As you know I live in South Australia, and when we visit my brother and his wife in Tasmania,we always drool over the historic homes that look just like your dream one. Yes, wouldn't it be fun to have that many rooms to decorate. Ohhhh to dream. xx jeanetteann
