Here's a view through the doorway to the rooms of Rachel Ashwell's wonderful shop. What would the world be without her in it? If you missed the first two posts in the series on her Santa Monica store, they are here, and here.
Her ideas are still fresh and warm and welcoming, whether you copy her style, or simply take inspiration from it. I love this antique chair that suggests inclusion in a baby's nursery .
Check out that crackle finish!
Have you ever seen a more darling crib mobile?
Sweet nursery fabrics.
That little vintage lamp sports a typical Rachel flourish on the shade that adds so much. And a frothy sea of ruffles!
I simply love the touches of vintage that are so important. A couple of interesting objects, and the rest speaks for itself. Enjoy!
Don't you love Rachel's shop as much as I do?
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great week ahead.
Jacqueline

Rachel's shop is lovely. It is hard to choose a favorite thing. I especially love the prancing horse baby mobile and the large curvacous mirror painted white.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Ginger
Rachel ~ love, love, love Rachel ~ she is sooo inspiring. Love those little ruffled pillows. If I could get my hands on one I would be in heaven. Unfortunately, in my neck of the woods there are none to be found ;-(
ReplyDeleteHello Jacqueline

I *do* love it, Jacqueline! The more I see of it, the more enticing everything is. You took such beautiful photos, and the comfortable way she has everything displayed makes it seem like you've stumbled into someone's home. All those vintage touches are so lovely, and the fabrics are so lived in and welcoming, you can almost feel them. Thank you so much for the tour!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how much I have enjoyed my trip via your photos. I feel as if I have been to these places (without the cost). Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteI so wish we had a Rachel shop. Thank you for showing all these lovely photos. Her fabrics are wonderful.
This has been so fun. Her style is so uniquely her own. I love the beautiful linens, and that one little side table has so much personality.

This post and the other two have been so wonderful Jacqueline! Rachel's style has been my inspiration since her first book came out. I LOVE her and it would be my dream to meet her someday. Her style fit in my lifestyle perfectly since I was the mom to six active children. I really thought that maybe the style would dim, but it seems to be going strong. Thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking us along with you to her gorgeous shop.
sending hugs...
I really need to go to this store...an amazing aray of such wonderful items. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love Rachel's style, but have never been close to any of her stores. Thanks for these tours. I had to see all 3 posts, and each one took my breath away. It's probably a good thing I'm not nearby because I would probably want everything in the store!
ReplyDeletePure, unadulterated, shabby chic eye candy!
ReplyDeleteYummy and dreamy... I just wanna dive in to the big fluffy beds, a nap, oh the ruffles.. beautiful!! RA for babies, too sweet, I never knew!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog, I love this post on Rachel's shop, she has so many gorgeous things in it, I am very inspired. Unfortunately in New Zealand we don't have her stores but her books are very popular here.
ReplyDeleteI especially love that faded pink rose cushion and the crumpled linen bedlinen is divine.
I will come back tomorrow as I need to cook dinner but I can see that there is just so much to inspire me here. I have thought about opening a homeware shop in New Zealand with mainly vintage or upcycled items and this is inspiring me greatly.
Lee :)
