Vintage Country Easter Table

I love the soft colors of an Easter celebration. Mint greens and pale pinks work wonderfully with crisp whites, and look so cheery together.

Everything on the table is also vintage from the bottom up. Or top down! Whichever way you want to look at it. Starting with a quilt as a tablecloth. I decided to cue all the colors from there.

White and cream plates with just a touch of leafy green keep the elements soft. I've mixed the flatware to keep it interesting.

I was thrilled to be able to set up on the patio to catch the late afternoon light. It was a beautiful warm spring day.

The roses and tulips are holding up pretty good, and I've enjoyed seeing them in my zinc flower bucket and ironstone pitcher all week. I went to PB today and was inspired once again by how BIG the elements on their tables are and decided to imitate that.

A tall centerpiece works well outdoors anyway, and I wanted to use lots of garden elements.

I've also made a big statement with the favors using large peat pots with vintage lace napkins and speckled eggs in the center of the place setting.

Vintage glassware is Fostoria Americana.

I have a couple chippy screen doors leaning in the patio that I use for display everywhere. They give a cozy country cottage feel wherever they are.

A few extra ironstone pitchers round out the centerpiece and hold the linen napkins.

Bird's-eye view!

The paper rose placecards are actually Wallies wallpaper embellishments from the craft store.

Here they are laid together on the table. There are tons of things you can do with them.

My vintage quilt comes out mostly on holidays. I used it on the table at Christmas too.

A pewter lidded jam/mustard pot is a gift from dear friends, and perfect for an Easter table.
.

Here it is to scale with my new vintage silver and mother of pearl shakers.

I tried really hard to capture the texture and sheen for you, but didn't quite get it!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a peek!
I hope your Easter is wonderful!

Jacqueline

  1. Beautiful! Timely too.... I was trying my hand at bunny folds for napkins - FAIL. So I see your vintage cutouts, and thinkI'm gonna print out some vintage bunny faces and lay them on top of a traditional fold.

  13. Beautiful Jacqueline!
Oh how I wish I could set up an Easter table outside too, but after a period of warm and sunny days in March since April it's back to the cold days over here and Easter is promising to be even colder than Christmas this year argh
Nevertheless I wish you a very happy Easter celebration!

  19. You really have the knack and beautiful things to put together. I had picked up a pack of six peat pots knowning I would use them for something other than planting in. They would have been perfect on the little outdoor table setting I did! Maybe next year. Your American pattern stemware is perfect for your setting, too.

  27. It's all pretty as a picture! I love the zinc pot with the roses in the mix... it's wonderful, and those roses are the best color. You've made me curious to go over to Pottery Barn and see their table settings, and the scale of things they are using, so that's exactly what i'm gonna go do!
