I love white in all climates, but when autumn arrives I tend to turn to the dark side. I can't help myself. Instead of russets, yellows, and pumpkin orange, I'm more inclined to indulge my taste for the colors of leather, wood, and rust. Weeds and twigs over roses. These junky drawers fulfilled all my desires at four bucks apiece! Just look at that irreplaceable hardware!
A lovely antique runner with a leaf motif lightens things up and suggests the new season for me. I'm always thrilled to find an old pique piece, and this one is eyelet!
I hope you're having as much fun as I am digging around in Autumn!
Ciao! for now!

ReplyDeleteYou know I LOVE everything you do....and this might, perhaps, be my favorite thus far...though how could I possibly choose? I COVET those drawers~~!!! And you styled them so perfectly....what a great color/texture balance and contrast with the eyelet runner! You know I adore vintage linens, too.
ReplyDeleteThis is autumnal perfection!!!!

ReplyDeleteFinally! Words for my own "tastes". Thank you for helping me give name to them.
Hi Jacqueline,
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you found such great funky old drawers for just $4.00 each...what a steal! I love old drawers...the more age and rust the better....not only for their history but also for their usefulness as display and collage pieces, decorative storage, wall art, etc. Loved seeing your fall decor...thanks for sharing.
