White still plays a big part in my vignettes and tablescapes for fall. But my tables often show my tendency to mix the brightest white with the darkest browns of autumn that I enjoy so much.
Since white is a neutral, it can follow whatever colors and natural elements the season has to offer. For fall I like to add dried flowers and foliage.
I tend to use my brown transferware the most in fall. But I often use plain white napkins on tablescapes in all seasons, and autumn is no exception.
The mix of light and dark can make for a table as crisp as that of summer. This combination of china was set on a plaid blanket for a dramatic backdrop with all the crystal and silver. Whether in daylight or evening, I love the mood of fall tables in deep browns and white. . . .
I'm enjoying the moody autumn tones.
I hope you're getting a good dose of your own fall colors!
Ciao! for now!

Jacqueline, these photos are amazing. I love the combination of chocolate and white. What do you call the dish in the 9th photo with the lid? I think I have one somewhere and must look for it. It is a covered serving dish of some sort. Beautiful photos..must go look again. Hugs

Oh this is so pretty! I can never find brown transferware that looks like this. I love the first piece the most! You also have the loveliest ironstone. I was going to ask you if you know anything about mercury glass? I found a piece today. It has the original sticker and it looks to be the real deal pre-1900. Jacqueline it was a $1 at the thrift store! I picked it up and looked around like did any body see this? Are you kidding! I don't think anyone here knows what it is!
