Before there were ruffles on gowns there were ruffles on roses. And I'm seeing lacy curves on everything lately.
An old cast iron sconce makes a handy hook for my vintage gowns, and shows off it's tracery pattern against an old gray fence. I love the juxtaposition of rustic and lace, and billowy white dresses and blooms against old iron and wood.
We're sailing into August with more hot days and cool evening breezes. The mornings are sweet and cool too. The new month brings with it a feeling of transition, but we still have a house full of guests and a ways to go before we fulfill our summer wish list. I hope you too enjoy a wonderful week in the fullness of the season!
Ciao! for now!
