Better Be Good

Story time takes on a special dimension this time of year.

How many times have you said, or heard it said, that young people bring something magic to the celebration?

And how many of your happiest memories of the season center on the traditions of your own childhood?

You don't have to have someone wee around to bring the make-believe spirit into the equation. Do a little magic for yourself!
 . . . For goodness sake.

Written by Cynthia Paterson and illustrated by Brian Paterson, a British picture book from the Foxwood Tales series, 1998, now out of print. I acquired mine when it was first published, but they are collectible now and the only used copies I found on Amazon started at $143.00! I consider them worth the price, however. The adventure tales are well told, and the illustrations transcendent.

Thanks for the visit!
I always love it when you stop by!
Ciao! for now!

  13. Love the beautiful pink crochet and embroidery! The book is sweet and adorable, too. I'm so glad I have some of my grandchildren nearby. They've helped decorate, and we've gotten out old Christmas books to read together, snuggled on the sofa. I suppose I'd do it for me if they weren't here, but having them certainly adds a sweetness I love! Have a lovely weekend!
