Vera and Her Friends

Vera says," Not everyone is my friend."

"When the orange tomcat is around, we all quickly hide under the table."

"He'll probably be gone by the time the tea has cooled."

"But we'll keep trembling for a long time afterwards!"

From Vera and Her Friends, Vera the Mouse Books,
by Marjolein Bastin, 1985, out of print.

  2. Hi there Jacqueline,
What a charming post! I love your teacup, and the teapot is just gorgeous, too! We have my husband's mother's collection of teacups, and one of these days I need to do a post about them. Have a great day!
