Little Things

Home again. . . .

Amid the comfort of quiet rooms. . . .

Where really not much changes.

"Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."

--Winnie The Pooh

I needed one of my favorite cloths to cover the table.

And a little change up in the wicker planter. Something simple.

The latest transferware. A covered tureen. . . .

With a platter to match.

(The baby's breath was fresh when we left, but dries beautifully in the vase.)

So summery!

So nice to return to the rows and stacks of one's own order. . . . (or disorder, for that matter!)

Rediscovering the gorgeousness of gleaming silver with expanses of white. . . .

Home, sweet home. . . .

So much more ahead, but enjoying a little catch up with you as July sails by!

Happy days!

Jacqueline

White on white is so beautiful. I can see why it would be so nice to return to this space. I'd be returning all the time.

What a nice injection of peace and tranquility on this busy (for me) day.

You have me enthralled with that line, "the comfort of quiet rooms." It is like a snippet of poetry.

I love that saying by our sweet Winnie the Pooh, and I'm drooling over your gorgeous room! Your pieces are beautiful ... creates such a warm, fresh and inviting space. The silver popping against it all is the icing on the cake!

Good Morning, Love that Winnie the Pooh saying. Happy home again to you and being among your treasures. Lovely photos and peace and calm. I had to smile as I have the a small tureen like your transferware but in a candy dish size and the framed gift wrap from JdA. They both are a favorite.
Wishing you a nice day. cm

when my little boy Charles was 4 we drove by our Catholic church late in the evening when the lights were glowing out the doors and windows...he asked me if it was heaven.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw your entire room...this must be what heaven looks like!

just so beautiful and peaceful!

Such beauty and peace in your wonderful home setting! I loved the quote, but the thought of July sailing by gripped me. Summer is passing quickly. It's my favorite, with our boys home from school and long days, I cherish (except for the moments I'm pulling out my hair, but those pass. :) Loved this glimpse into your home sweet home. Thank you for sharing! ~julie

I love your attention to detail, Jacqueline, which makes your home so charming and warm and cozy! Sometimes I think I get too caught up in the little things, but then to me, that's what makes a house a home.
I love to study each of your photos for wonderful inspiration.
It's always good to get away in the summer, but home looks so good again when we're back!
