Favorite Summer Whites

All the little girls are off doing summer awhile until we meet again. There's summer camp 'this and that' : ballet camp, church camp, music camp. But if there was summer camp for me . . .

I would want there to be tiny summer cottages, perhaps by the sea, furnished with white-washed cupboards inside.

Not too hot, with crisp white linens snapping in the breeze.

Lace for every meal. ( And someone else for washing up.)

We would build vignettes in lieu of sand castles.

Beds all cool and smooth, and lavender at end of day.

Roses and seashells, and white pennants flying. Evenings full of twinkle light.

Pretty teas, and no talk of diets.

Maybe we can get Disney to work on it! Haha!

In the meantime, enjoy a few peeks at my favorite summer whites. . . .

(We now return you to your regularly scheduled program . . .)

Happy first week of summer!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Jacqueline

I like your version of summer camp. You start one up and we'll all come. Wouldn't that be fun? I never thought of a summer camp for adults, but that is a wonderful idea. Count me in!

Jacqueline, Just got back from visiting daughter in Utah and car died on highway! Knew we were getting closer to home in Oregon because the sky mucked up to that gray. With all that stress, your blog is welcome respite---and the only camping I'd like to do is right there on your patio, under that white umbrella!!! Looks so peaceful and wonderful!! Love the lacy linens and white hydrangea!!
Thanks again! Kay

Sally here again -- yes, I've been to Patina. It's small, but well worth the stop if you are ever in Denver.

I'm in white heaven. I wish, I wish, I wish for all things white. I just haven't found anything white in a while around here. I've got to get out of town more. Your place is delightful. Everything in my house would be white, but I'm afraid I couldn't keep it clean. There would cat hair everywhere.

I certainly enjoyed that little break, Jacqueline. So many pretty white things to dream of. Your 'cottage' sounds perfect to me. We'll just keep on dreaming.

Lovely photos. I bought a book last week and there was an ad on the back page for the mall you are in. Soon as I looked at the page I spotted you name!

Dearest Jacqueline,
I don't know how you do it. Everything is pristine perfection. Disney should consult you to create the perfect summer cottage. I'm absolutely head-over-heels in love with it all.

I want to scoop it all up and bring it all home with me, down to your courtyard of beauty.
I love the photo with the earth ware up against the white brick wall of yours. I just love it, and could never bore looking at photo after photo with that wall as it's back drop. What a wall to love.

Thank you dear friend for always supporting my latest up-styling or reimaging of something I may post. You encourage all that I do adding to why I adore the hunt for something to salvage.

A beautiful weekend to you, put on those water mistress and enjoy your patio veranda, I know I sure would be.

Xoxo

Beautiful, dreamy pictures of a summer camp. Amazing how many of us would go if there was one that would pamper us with pristine linens, a beautiful patio to sip tea or cocktails, cool, quiet....kind of reminds of the movie "Enchanted April".

Thanks for taking us far away into dream land.

Oh, this is just my kind of camp! Yes, for sure by the sea. I started a Pinterest board a few weeks ago with this very train of thought. I named it Shell Cottage! Let's do go to camp together Jacqueline! How fun that would be! Thanks for linking with Home Sweet Home!
