Is This Old News?

Sometimes I'm late to the party. I drag my feet on deciding whether or not to buy something and I end up missing out.

That was the case on the Jeanne d'Arc Christmas book of a couple of years ago. Was I wrong in thinking it was said that it would not be reprinted? (I may be thinking of Vintage by Nina Christmas, by Nina Hartmann. I made the same mistake with that one!) At any rate, it was out of stock everywhere by the time I decided I had to have it. UNTIL NOW!!!!  I stumbled upon it at my local vintage shop. Don't you love second chances? There is no printing date on the issue so I don't know if it's been reprinted a while and I am only just now finding out. Whatever!

From CHRISTMAS by Jeanne d'Arc Living
Many of you already have a copy, so you know that the illustrations are mostly tight shots of beautiful vignettes with just a few long shots of whole rooms. But I love the tones, colors, and natural elements used for decorating in this style. I woke up dreaming about what I want to incorporate from it this year in my own rooms. No kidding!

Thought some of you might like to know this go around!

Happy First Day of Fall!
(It's a fantastic day here in New Mexico . . . )

And a wonderful week to you too!

  9. So glad you were able to find a copy, Jacqueline! Second chances like that are so wonderful. The images are so lovely, and what I like about that kind of decorating is that it's more "winter" than specifically Christmas, so you can indulge it a little earlier (and later) than you can Christmas decorations. Happy planning, and have a lovely week. Our Autumn arrived with beautiful weather, too!

  10. Hi Jacqueline, I have a stack of them in my shop (I think that's where you found it). They were hiding under some other Christmas stuff but I moved them out front so they are easier to find! I also have other Christmas items from Jeanne d'Arc Living. :) Yay for Nordic Christmas!

  12. No chance in a million that I'm going to find these magazines or the beautiful special Christmas edition in retail. I am a retail clutz. I have to pay more attention. In this post I'm dreaming about the silver candle holder with the green wreath. So elegant.

  19. Jackie, your decorating is beautiful, I love anything with the sepia color. Your photos are inspiring me to get busy with Fall.
My son that lives in AZ broke his neck, he had a terrible fall so I am off center this summer and late getting into fall. Thankful my son is okay and now I will begin decorating. Always wishing you the best.
