Summer Country

It takes only a few things to make for a fresh country summer feeling. It's different for everyone I suppose. For me, it's a few crisp vintage linens. An old wooden chair. An ironstone pitcher and bowl. And the great outdoors. . . .

I hope you're having a great country weekend!

  4. I bet it was a little warmer at your photo shoot than it appears in the pictures. Aren't those old linen tablecloths wonderful? I just love the patterns and the colors.

  6. I think I could wiggle my toes in your thick green grass. The tablecloth is pretty and that is my kind of summer.

  22. First thought: Love your pictures!
Second thought: Love the subject matter. Third thought is a hunky man swimming out of a clear lake and drying himself off. Yep- couldn't help myself there when I saw the soap. LOL!

  26. Crisp, white vintage linens and white ironstone offer a cool refresher for a hot summer day. This is the perfect setting for a glass of lemonade. ;-)

  27. Very pristine and fresh...and I positively love the old chair. I have one on the porch that must be close to 100 years old. It was my Grandma's chair at her kitchen table...she was born in 1901 I believe. Have a happy day, Maggie

  29. Summer country...beautiful. Love the table cloth...so rich with vibrant color.
The soap...made in the USA. Perfect.

The Honey and I were just discussing how there isn't much in the way of mercantile and wares that can make that claim today... So sad.
He handed me a paper sack...printed on the bottom...it said made in the USA.
